1,937 donors, surpassing the original goal of 1,865, from all 50 states and 5 countries contributed during this fundraising event.
“As my first Give to Blue Day ends, I want to express my gratitude to everyone who made this day unforgettable. Whether you participated in events on campus, shopped with our community partners, or donated from around the world, your support was deeply appreciated. The energy on campus and across the Wabash Valley was vibrant, and your generosity will help create transformative opportunities for our Sycamores by enhancing an already strong educational experience,” said President Mike Godard. “Together, we’ve shown the power of the Sycamore spirit, and together, we’ll continue to shape the future of Indiana State University.”
Funds raised on Give to Blue Day support various programs and scholarships across Indiana State’s divisions and colleges; the donor chooses where their gift will be used. Sycamore Athletics topped the leaderboard in total dollars raised, followed by the Scott College of Business, the Sycamore Success Scholarship, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the Bayh College of Education.
“Give to Blue Day 2025 once again proves the unwavering strength of our Sycamore community. With more than $1.5 million raised in just 24 hours from over 1,937 donors, it's clear that Indiana State University continues to inspire incredible generosity,” said Andrea Angel, Vice President of University Advancement and CEO of the Indiana State University Foundation. “We are truly grateful to every individual who participated in making this the most successful Give to Blue Day in the last seven years! This day is a powerful reminder of the impact we can make together for the betterment of our institution.”
Various community partners throughout the Wabash Valley, many of which are alumni-owned businesses, participated in Give to Blue Day festivities by hosting special promotions, encouraging donations, and contributing a portion of sales to Indiana State. Businesses included 5th Street Nutrition, Culver’s, Federal Coffee + Fine Foods, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Joe’s Pizza Express, Bear’s Coffee + Roasting Co., Loose Goose Coffee Company, Maggie & Moe’s, McDonald’s, Show-Me's Sports Bar & Grill, and Terre Haute Brewing Company.
Give to Blue Day 2025 was a digitally driven event with nearly 300 social media ambassadors, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends.
Other games and gatherings took place across campus throughout the week, such as Balloon Pop, Cash Cab sponsored by the Indiana State University Federal Credit Union, Sam’s Friends Den, and Party at the Fountain. The Student Philanthropy Organization hosted these events in collaboration with other student organizations to engage the campus community and educate students on the power of philanthropy.
“The success of this year’s Give to Blue Day shows just how powerful our Sycamore community is,” said Drew Daming, Student Philanthropy Organization President. “This day isn’t just about dollars—it’s about showing up for students, for our futures, and for one another. Every gift creates opportunities for students like me through scholarships, career-building experiences, and support systems that make a real difference. I’m proud to be part of a campus that believes in the power of giving and invests in our success.”
Next year’s Give to Blue Day is scheduled for Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
