Indiana State University proudly announces that five graduating Sycamores are recognized with high honors, including four recipients of the Hines Memorial Medal and one honoree for the Daniel J. Bradley for Leadership, Scholarship, and Service.
“Each of these students is more than deserving of the high recognition bestowed upon them. Sydney, Nadia, Brooklyn, Joshua, and Kaylan have each individually worked hard in their classes, put in the extra effort to go above and beyond and be leaders on campus amongst their peers. The skills and sustained dedication they’ve exemplified will serve them well no matter where their careers take them. We are grateful they were a part of our campus,” said Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Chris Olsen.
This Hines Medal, named after Indiana State University’s fourth president from 1921-1933, Linnaeus Hines, is given to students who entered Indiana State as first-time college freshmen completing their bachelor’s degrees with the highest cumulative grade point average.
The winners are:

Nadia Lauren Hardman from Portland, Indiana. Elementary Education major.
Brooklyn Jane Bucher from Bloomfield, Indiana. Elementary Education major with a Reading minor.

The recipient would have served in multiple capacities, in long-term leadership roles at Indiana State University and/or in a community.
