Indiana State University is preparing for its eighth annual Give to Blue Day, which will take place on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. The annual day of giving is a chance for the campus community, alumni, and friends of the university from around the world to raise funds for Indiana State students and programming.

“Give to Blue Day is more than a tradition. It’s a movement driven by the passion and generosity of our Sycamore community,” said Mike Godard, President of Indiana State University. “Together, we are able to expand opportunities for students and strengthen our university. We are deeply grateful to our alumni, friends, and business partners whose support makes this day such a meaningful success every year.”

Throughout the day of giving, events will be held on campus and around the Terre Haute community to promote philanthropy and to celebrate impact at Indiana State. Many local businesses have partnered with the University for Give to Blue Day, including Culver’s, Federal Coffee + Fine Foods, McDonald’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, Texas Roadhouse, Bites and Blessings, Qdoba, Jersey Mike’s, Chick-Fil-A, Bear’s Coffee + Roasting Co., Saratoga Restaurant, and more. A full list of participating businesses and promotions will be available at givetoblue.indianastate.edu as the day of giving approaches.

In 2025, Give to Blue Day saw 1,937 donors give a record-breaking amount of $1.5 million from all 50 states and five countries in only 24 hours. These gifts have been essential in the growth and advancement of scholarships, experiential learning opportunities, faculty initiatives, student programming, and Sycamore Athletics. This year’s Give to Blue Day goal is to increase donor engagement and receive gifts from 2,000 donors.

“Give to Blue Day is a powerful reminder of what our Sycamore community can accomplish together. Every gift opens doors for students through scholarships, hands-on learning, and experiences that shape their futures. These contributions are an investment in the leaders and innovators of tomorrow. Together, we are driving meaningful change and creating a lasting impact,” said Lillyan Dickerson, President of the Student Philanthropy Organization.

Throughout Give to Blue Day, students can join in the excitement in a variety of ways—catch a ride to class on the Indiana State University Federal Credit Union Cash Cab, attend celebratory events across campus, or purchase a commemorative mug. Student-designed mugs created by Ella Brewer will be available for purchase at the following locations:

  • Monday, April 13 and Tuesday, April 14 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

“As we celebrate our eighth year of Give to Blue Day, I am continually encouraged by the incredible engagement and involvement of our Sycamore community,” said Andrea Angel, Vice President of University Advancement and CEO of the Indiana State University Foundation. “Whether you sign up as a social ambassador, share your enthusiasm online, or make a gift, your participation helps drive real impact. Every contribution makes a difference in the lives of our students.”
