Indiana Governor Mike Braun announced the appointment of three members to the Indiana State University Board of Trustees. The appointments are:

  • John Pratt, of Rockville, has been reappointed to serve until June 30, 2029. Trustee Pratt will serve as Chairperson of the Board for the 2025–2026 academic year.
  • Troy Woodruff, of Fishers, has been reappointed to serve until June 30, 2029. Trustee Woodruff will serve as Vice-Chairperson of the Board for the 2025–2026 academic year.
  • Christian Roembke, of Brazil, has been appointed as the new student trustee, serving until June 30, 2027. Roembke will be a junior this academic year, majoring in chemistry with a pre-medicine concentration.

“I am excited to continue working alongside Trustee John Pratt and Trustee Troy Woodruff, and to welcome our new student trustee, Christian Roembke, to the Board,” said Indiana State University President Mike Godard. “The leadership and insight of our trustees are vital as we align Indiana State’s degrees with the evolving needs of Indiana’s workforce. By ensuring that every graduate is equipped with the skills, experiences, and connections to thrive in high-demand fields, we not only transform individual lives but also strengthen industries, drive innovation, and fuel the economic growth of our state.”

Roembke succeeds Kate VanHyfte, who recently completed her two-year term as student trustee. In May, VanHyfte graduated with a Bachelor of Science in both Biology and Psychology, and is now pursuing a medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.
