Indiana State University Announces 2024-2025 Student Award Recipients

Indiana State University is proud to recognize the recipients of several distinguished student awards, including the Rankin Distinguished Senior Award and the Daniel J. Bradley Medal for Leadership, Scholarship, and Service. These awards celebrate Sycamore students who have shown excellence in academics, leadership, and service to both the campus and the greater community.

“These awards reflect what makes Indiana State such a special place—our students,” said President Mike Godard. “The recipients of the Rankin Award and Bradley Medal have made a real difference on our campus and in our community. These students have shown leadership, compassion, and determination, representing the best of what it means to be a Sycamore. I’m proud to celebrate their success and excited to see what they’ll accomplish next.”

“It’s inspiring to see our students living our mission of learning, discovery, and engagement—while balancing academics, social life, and leadership roles,” said Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Christopher Olsen. “The skills they’ve developed at Indiana State will serve them well as they pursue the next steps in their journey. Congratulations to each honoree on this outstanding achievement.”

The Rankin Distinguished Senior Award

Named after Indiana State’s seventh president, Dr. Alan C. Rankin, the Rankin Distinguished Senior Award recognizes outstanding members of the senior class who have contributed to enhancing campus life at Indiana State University. Recipients must hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate dedicated membership and leadership skills in campus organizations and the community. The Indiana State University Alumni Association presents the award.

The 2024-2025 Rankin Distinguished Senior Award recipients are:

  • Deladeaye Earley – Indianapolis, IN. Major: Political Science (Legal Studies)
    • Minor: Criminology and Criminal Justice
  • Grace Longyear – Mascoutah, IL.  Major: Marketing (Marketing Management)
    • Minor: Communication
  • Jaxson Zeis – Avon, IN. Major: Mechanical Engineering Technology
    • Minor: Manufacturing Engineering Technology
  • Jillian Turner – Terre Haute, IN. Major: Insurance and Risk Management
    • Minor: Marketing

Daniel J. Bradley Medal for Leadership, Scholarship, and Service

One of Indiana State’s highest student honors, the Daniel J. Bradley Medal for Leadership, Scholarship, and Service, is awarded to a graduating senior who excels in all three areas and maintains a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Recipients are actively involved in community service and experiential learning, and they have held multiple long-term leadership roles at the university or within their community.

The 2024-2025 Daniel J. Bradley Medal recipient is:

  • Analise Best – Staunton, IL. Major: Music Liberal Arts
