Sycamore Success Scholarship Fund Launched with Generous Lead Gift from Alumna Jo Einstandig

Indiana State University is proud to announce the creation of the Sycamore Success Scholarship Fund, a new strategic initiative by President Mike Godard designed to support incoming freshmen. The Sycamore Success Scholarship will be available to deserving students who have not received another significant scholarship at Indiana State.

Indiana State alumna and dedicated community member Jo Einstandig has stepped forward to make the lead gift to the new Sycamore Success Scholarship Fund, which will support efforts to increase freshman enrollment at Indiana State University.

Indiana State University Art Galleries Announce Exhibition featuring works by Leading Artist Dedicated to Public Action, Nadya Tolokonnikova

The Turman Gallery at Indiana State University has announced details on its upcoming exhibition, ART ACTIONS, which showcases works by Nadya Tolokonnikova, Founder of the Russian feminist art group Pussy Riot. The exhibition features a survey of performance artworks by Tolokonnikova and is open to the public from September 30 through October 25. 

30th annual President’s Scholars Golf Outing raises more than $70,000

This year, alumni and university supporters gathered for the 30th annual President’s Scholars Golf Outing and raised more than $70,000 to fund the continuation of the University’s most prestigious scholarship.

The event was presented by Ratio and hosted at the Brickyard Crossing Golf Course in Indianapolis. 

Indiana State University Celebrates Milestone Community Service Achievement on Donaghy Day

Indiana State University is proud to announce that its partnership with the Million Meal Movement has surpassed the milestone of packing over 500,000 meals. This achievement places Indiana State among an elite group of four organizations, including Pacers Sports Entertainment, Corteva Agriscience, and Clif Bar & Co., who have also reached this remarkable level of community service. 

“The President’s Own” United States Marine Band to Perform Free Concert at Indiana State University in October

For the first time in nearly a century, “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band will visit Terre Haute, Indiana, to perform a free concert on October 5 at Indiana State University’s Tilson Auditorium. 

 

The performance, hosted by Indiana State University’s School of Music, is part of the band's Coast to Coast tour. It will be their first visit to Terre Haute since performing at the town’s Municipal Stadium and Grand Theatre on November 11, 1926.

 

Indiana State University Faculty Receives National Science Foundation Research Grant

Indiana State University proudly announces that Dr. Justin Miller, Assistant Professor of Biochemistry in the College of Arts and Sciences, has been awarded a $248,930 grant from the National Science Foundation. The funding will support Dr. Miller's research into the chemical capabilities of a bacterial species and provide mentorship opportunities for underrepresented students on campus.
