Indiana State University has hired Tom Gray as a Director of Development responsible for fundraising at the College of Arts and Sciences.
Gray, an ISU alumnus, starts November 9.
“I’ve had a strong affinity for my alma mater since my time as a student,” Gray said. “I’ve seen firsthand the value of being a Sycamore and want to assist in making that opportunity available to others.”
Gray previously served as CEO of Stratosphere Quality in Fishers, Indiana, a global supplier of quality assurance and outsourcing solutions. His leadership led to increased sales and an expansion in North America.
“Tom is a collaborative and results-driven professional who brings tremendous experience and passion to our advancement team,” said Andrea Angel, Vice President of University Advancement and CEO of the ISU Foundation. “As we continue to build the culture of philanthropy for ISU, he will be an important part of our continued success.”
Said Jeremiah Turner, Associate Vice President for the Division of University Advancement: “Tom’s ability to grow and lead effective teams will make him a valuable member of our development team. He is a true Sycamore who brings positive energy, a proven track record of success and a unique perspective to our team, and he is excited to share the ISU story with other alumni and donors.”
Gray graduated from Indiana State in 1986 with a degree in business administration. He earned a Master’s degree in management from Indiana Wesleyan University in 1995. He and his wife, Amber, have two children, daughter Blake (29) and son Nolan (25).
“The world is changing incredibly fast, and higher education is not immune to the many challenges faced by all organizations,” Gray said. “It’s imperative that the tremendous support Indiana State has received in the past continue and grow in order to provide a high-quality academic experience.”
