The Community School of the Arts has partnered with the Swope Art Museum to provide "Youth Artist Experience," an art education and enrichment after-school program at Ryves Youth Center.

The artwork of the young artists will be on exhibit from 4-5 p.m. Dec. 4 at the Ryves Youth Center.

"This program is a great partnership with the Swope, where we can provide a creative outlet to those who otherwise would have limited opportunities in the arts," said Cynthia Phillips-Sabla, director of Community School of the Arts.

The children at the center range between three and seventeen years old and many of the children live below the poverty line. The program enables students at the center to have direct involvement with the arts and artists after school.

The art exhibition is made possible by the City of Terre Haute Arts Grant.
