TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Indiana State University invites Illinois high school students, transfer students and their families to find out what it means to be an ISU student and to learn more about hands-on learning opportunities available at Stateline Hospitality Day Saturday, Nov. 11 in Dede I, Hulman Memorial Student Union. The day's events begin at 9:30 a.m. EST and conclude about 3:30 p.m. EST.

"Stateline Hospitality Day is an opportunity to introduce Illinois students to the academic and co-curricular opportunities that await them at Indiana State in a day designed specifically for them," Richard Toomey, director of Admissions, said.

During the day, student visitors will interact with faculty from the academic programs of their choice and learn more about the variety of hands-on experiential learning opportunities available - both in and out of the classroom. In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to tour campus and meet with representatives from Residential Life, Financial Aid, Student Affairs and a variety of student and campus organizations, as well as the Career Center.

Representatives from Admissions will be on hand to accept applications and offer on-the-spot admission. The $25 application fee will be waived for applicants who apply at the event.

Admissions representatives will be available to answer questions on the Laptop Award and the Southeast Illinois Tuition Waiver, which makes Indiana State University and its academic programs more accessible to residents of 20 Illinois counties.

The Illinois County Waiver applies to both beginning college students and transfer students. For more information about the waiver program or the counties included, go to http://admissions.indstate.edu/waiver.html.
