TERRE HAUTE, Ind.-The Indiana State University music department and the Sycamore Singers will present the 59th Annual Yuletide Madrigal Feast at 7 p.m. Dec. 7, 8 and 9 at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 215 N. Seventh Street in Terre Haute.
The Madrigals are sung both with and without musical accompaniment and they are frequently based on a secular text or fable of the times.
The evening will include ceremonial toasts and songs; dinner, provided by Boo's Crossroads Cafe consisting of roast loin of pork, stuffing, seasoned new potatoes, green beans, salad, dessert, water, tea, and coffee; a play entitled "Fools Fall in Love;" and a concert of seasonal classical choral selections.
Tickets are $30 per person or $200 for a table of eight. Reservations can be made by calling the Choral Office at (812) 237-4590 or the Music Department Office at (812) 237-2771, or visiting the Music Office in the Center for Performing and Fine Arts, Seventh and Chestnut streets, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Payment for the reservations can be made by check, money order, or cash. Credit cards cannot be accepted.
Tickets must be reserved and paid for before Dec. 6. Cancellations cannot be refunded.
