More than 500 high school students from 23 schools in Indiana and Illinois competed at Indiana State University's TechTREK 2006 on Nov. 2, hosted by the College of Technology.
Sullivan High School walked away with the Golden Bowl traveling trophy and a cash prize for placing first in the Technology Bowl, and Western Boone High School set itself apart by winning more awards than any other school.
In its 11th year, TechTREK (Technology, Resources, Education, Knowledge) offers participating high school teams a chance to test their technological skill and knowledge in a variety of skill-building events against other high school teams. ISU technology education students and faculty design the one-day event to help students apply skills developed in all areas of education, but particularly in team problem-solving, communication and technology education.
